Support groups are an important way for people to connect with others in a similar situation. Team MUSIC provides a confidential and safe environment where individuals can open up about their experiences, ask questions and share resources and information. Team MUSIC reinforces the concept that people aren’t alone in their struggles. Social media, discussion topics, outings, and fellowship provide men living with HIV in our area with significant support from individuals within the community dealing with many of the same situations. Condoms and HIV and health-related information are readily available at each meeting.
All HIV-positive men in care with Upper Savannah Care are invited to our support group. The group is facilitated by a team member at USCS and a variety of topics are covered, depending on the needs and interests of the group. Groups meet the first Thursday of each month from 6-7 p.m. at the Upper Savannah Care Services office at 108 Venture Court, Greenwood SC. Transportation and refreshments will be provided.
